Spatial Network and Driving Factors of Agricultural Green Total Factor Productivity in China

Agricultural green total factor productivity (AGTFP) is an important indicator to reflect the sustainability level of agriculture. The AGTFP network reflects spatial correlations among regions; thus, exploring its structure and influencing factors can provide targeted policy guidance coordinated development agriculture sector. This study builds epsilon-based measurement data envelopment analysis (EBM-DEA) model calculate 31 provincial AGTFPs in China from 2002 2020. Then, social (SNA) was utilized explore characteristics network, quadratic assignment procedure (QAP) applied find external factors. We reached four central conclusions: (1) Overall, there a gradual upward trend during 2002~2020, average value rose 0.75 0.90 2020, but were some differences regions. (2) There complex stable characteristic AGTFP; density 0.3753, efficiency 0.4714. Meanwhile, eastern areas, such as Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hebei, Jiangsu, etc., have relatively high centrality are bridge entire network. (3) be divided into eight blocks, including two net beneficial blocks (the central-eastern provinces with centrality); spillover located developed urban areas (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jilin), underdeveloped northwest regions (Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet). other two-way blocks. (4) Transportation gap, technological progress similarities agricultural industry critical Hence, improving logistics transportation industry, promoting technology transfer developing all conducive whole region’s AGTFP.
